Social Media Intern
Green Room Theatre Company Coachella Valley (GRTCCV) is a professionally oriented, 501(C)3 non profit theatre company in its fifteenth successful season, serving the culturally and economically diverse communities of the Coachella Valley from Palm Desert to Thermal.
As a social media intern you will be responsible for assisting Green Room Theatre Company Coachella Valley to create and execute social media strategies that increase brand awareness, engage audiences, and promote the organization’s mission and values.
The social media intern should have excellent communication and organizational skills, be creative, and have a strong knowledge of social media platforms and trends. Prior experience in social media management, content creation, and marketing is a plus.
Responsibilities:
You will create and schedule social media posts across various platforms, such as Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, and others using a content calendar.
Engage with followers and respond to comments and messages.
Review social media metrics with the Administrative Associate.
Collaborate with other team members to create social media campaigns.
Create and maintain a social media style guide to ensure consistent branding and messaging across all social media platforms.
Participate in team meetings to discuss social media strategy, content, and upcoming events.
Stay up-to-date on social media policies, guidelines, latest trends and best practices.
Ability to take feedback and adapt posts and strategies as needed.
Requirements:
Experience with content management and calendars is a plus.
Ability to write and release creative and engaging content.
Strong attention to detail and excellent time management skills.
Ability to communicate effectively with the team and take direction as needed.
A commitment to meeting deadlines and completing projects in a timely manner.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
Written Spanish is desirable but not required.
Hours required may vary depending on the organization’s needs. However, the estimated time commitment is usually 5-10 hours per week.
