Assistant Stage Manager/Deck Captain

Green Room Theatre Company Coachella Valley (GRTCCV) seeks an Assistant Stage Manager/Deck Captain for its Spring 2024 Touring Production of Maggie Magalita.

GRTCCV is a professionally oriented, 501(C)3 nonprofit theatre company in its fifteenth successful season, serving culturally and economically diverse communities of the Coachella Valley from Desert Hot Springs to Thermal.

Project: The project is a small, professional touring production of Maggie Magalita, including several performances over weekends in March 2024.

Duration: Your commitment is between December 2023 and April 2024. You will work with the Stage Manager to assist with prep for the production immediately upon hire. 

Compensation: You’ll be compensated with a stipend between $500 – $1000 (DOE).

Job Duties

As Assistant Stage Manager/Deck Captain for Maggie Magalita you will work with our Stage Manager to oversee key aspects of the production, including managing schedules, sending out cast communications, handling props and costumes, serving as deck captain for scene changes, and more tasks as needed.  

Desirable Experience

  • Previous experience in theatrical productions.
