NOTE: All acting positions will be paid.

1984 January 16-18 and/or Jan 23-25.  This is a reading and will require between 5 and 7 rehearsals.  We will be working from the adaptation produced at Actor’s Gang and directed by Tim Robbins.  Not race specific and we will not be using British accents.

  • Winston Smith:  Male, Age 30-40
  • Julia:  Female, Age 25-35
  • O’Brien: Male, Age 40-60 

American Moor by Keith Hamilton Cobb  Touring production with Friday, Saturday and Sunday performances. Opens March 13, closes April 4.

  • The Artistic Director:  White male, Age 28-35.  Well intentioned, but doesn’t know what he doesn’t know.

 Como Te Gusta/As Y’awl Like It  A new, compacted adaptation of As You Like It. Set in the desert near Calexico and combining California Cowboy Drawl, Mexican Spanish and Elizabethan English. Several actors will play multiple roles.  Touring production with Friday, Saturday and Sunday performances. Opens March 13, closes April 4.

  • Duke  Señor, the deported duke, brother to Duke Federico
  • Jaques, a Lord attending Duke  Señor in exile
  • Corin, a shepherd
  • Silvius, a young shepherd in love
  • Phoebe, a disdainful shepherdess
  • Audrey, a goat keeper
