Last lists of my mad mother

In Collaboration with the Alzheimer's Association

     CAST
     Denise Strand – Ma
     Katt Atkins – Dot
     Rachel Wheeler – Sis

     Written By Julie Jensen
     Directed by Don Cilluffo

The story centers on Dot, a daughter who has put her own life on hold to care for her mother, Ma, whose memories are fading rapidly. Ma is a rigid, detail-oriented woman who cares about ribbons, bows, grammar rules, and strict schedules. Dot uses her sharp wit to navigate the confusion and disorientation of her mother’s mind.

While Dot and Ma struggle with Ma’s decline, Sis, their sister, offers advice from afar over the phone, trying to help but also feeling helpless. The play moves between moments of sharp humor and poignant realism, showing how the family retraces paths they’ve traveled many times, only to find themselves in a place of unexpected comfort.

Green Room Theatre Company is incredibly excited to collaborate with the Alzheimer’s Association on our Season 18 opening production of Last Lists of My Mad Mother. This powerful and heartfelt production gives us a wonderful opportunity to bring the arts and Alzheimer’s awareness together, opening the door for meaningful conversations about the impact of Alzheimer’s disease on individuals, families, and caregivers.

We are also proud to support the Alzheimer’s Association and their upcoming Walk to End Alzheimer’s on Saturday, November 21st!  For more information on the walk, please visit our walk page:
